RATTLEBACKS
National Standard:  B2
“... Students should develop an understanding of position and motion of objects ... (both) can be changed by pushing or pulling ...” 1

Suggested Use
Place the Rattleback on its rounded side. Spin it to the left and observe. Spin it to the right and observe. It spins easily one way, but not the other! Scientists call this “preferential spin bias.” Have students add tiny bits of clay to see if they can change the balance. Related concepts: mass, center of gravity, balance, etc.

Price: $5.00
Package of 5 Rattlebacks
