Suggested Use
Make a dot on the end of one of the pinwheel’s blades. Have students observe the dot as they blow softly toward the pinwheel. Talk about how the pinwheel turns linear (straight) motion into rotary (circular) motion. Discuss ways wind power is used to do work (pumping water, grinding grain, generating electricity).
