Overview

This Seela Science® kit helps children explore and better understand:

1) Animal Parts - a creature’s covering helps keep it healthy and alive; different creatures have different kinds of coverings (structure), these coverings do different jobs (function)
2) Flower Freeway - how a flower’s stem helps water and nutrients move from the roots up to the flower
3) Plant Parts - every part of a plant is made in a certain way (structure) so that it can do a certain kind of a job (function); all work together to keep plant healthy and alive
4) Hide & Seek - how exterior coloring and patterns can help a creature survive; for prey to be caught it must be seen; skin colors and patterns can help prey hide
5) Gathering Groups - how creatures can be sorted based on characteristics; how they are made (structure) or how their parts work (function)
6) Basic Needs - all plants and animals have basic needs in order to survive, like food, water, air, and sunlight
